Imagenomic Portraiture V2.2 ( Adobe Lightroom Plugin ) key

Imagens are imperfect. Photography is an approximation of the world. Like the country Uncle Sam left us with, we can’t escape its limitations. Yet we work on, trying to make it better each day — and not just through new technology, but by understanding and mastering old technology as well as we can. Imaginary Portraits is a new way to think about the images you capture, and it builds on what you already know. It’s not built upon technology you don’t have, or something that requires you to learn an entirely new system. It’s built on technology you already use, and it helps refine what your camera can do for you. Now, let me get one thing straight: I don’t want this to sound like I think cameras are imperfect. I don’t. But I do think photography is imperfect, by definition. If it was perfect, every photograph would be hailed as great art…but things didn’t turn out that way. I don’t want to take that away. You should be proud of your work. You should be proud of what you create with the tools you have. And when you start thinking about how something can be better, to me that’s art . That’s what the process is all about. This post starts by exploring how Imaginary Portraits works, and gradually builds up to covering some of the more advanced techniques it can help you learn. As before, I’ll take the opportunity to introduce the image at the top of this post, because I think it serves as a nice introduction to what this post will cover. I chose the bird wing as a subject for this post. It’s one of my favorite wing images from my past, and it’s also my most successful image in the Imaginary Portraits v2.0 challenge. The bird wing was taken late in the day with an iPhone, but I knew it was a good image before I even turned off the camera for a second to take a look at the screen. My main concerns were that it had too much detail, and that its focus was out of place, since there wasn’t much contrast between dark and light areas on the wing. In typical style, I put off thinking about these issues as long as possible. After all, the image was captured, and that meant it was a success, right? It wasn’t until I sat down to edit the image a few weeks later that I actually gave these two issues a second thought. This is what led me to consider editing my first portrait with Imaginary Portraits v2.0 . In this particular case, what I needed to do was shift focus from the finer details to the larger shapes and values of the wing. This would make for a more natural division between dark and light areas on both sides of the wing. In addition, Imaginary Portraits focuses on bringing out smaller shapes on both sides of an object, which can help them stand out better against complex backgrounds like this one. eccc085e13
